Pedalpalooza

The seventh annual Pedalpalooza takes place in Portland from June 12-28. This event is growing every year, and now features 192 events over 20 days. The stencil poster was done by Portland artist Tiago DeJerk, who’s leading a stencil bike ride on Monday the 15th after dark.

Ghost at BLVD

NYC Graffiti Legend Ghost a/k/a Cousin Frank, is currently showing at the BLVD Gallery in Seattle. Having started writing in the golden age of the late 1970’s, Ghost has first hand knowledge of the many adventures and accomplishments of the NYC subway graffiti movement. This is your chance to see new works from a pioneering influence for many graffiti artists around the world. Seattle Center skatepark design

For all those that like to skate and create, this one is the holy grail of projects. The City of Seattle office of Arts & Cultural Affairs has submitted a call for artists to create art and skate-able art objects for the new Seattle Center Skatepark. $22K is on the line so get your submission in by March 18th, 2008.

Amazing Georgetown Graffiti Wall

Georgetown now has one of the biggest murals in Seattle (160′x18′) by 14 of the Northwest’s best graf artists. Some of the artists involved were SPECSONE, Humor, Weirdo, 179, Kiloe and Solace. Today is the grand wall unveiling party, with music, barbecue and refreshments, 11 a.m.-5 p.m, 4th ave S. and S. Michigan St. A complete photoset with closeups of the mural is available here.
