Here’s 2 shows that are featuring some fresh photo bits. There’s lots of conceptual photo work hanging in the 2nd annual Photographers’ Showcase at Some Space going on through Aug 30th. This Saturday Blush photo’s Kristen Truax will be showing her work at “A Photo Show” event.

This sounds like a fun project to get involved in. The Chemical Brothers are looking to bring together filmmakers and artists through Google Earth technology. You can participate by making a short film clip or photograph that revolves around the theme of Midnight Madness. Deadline for submissions is August 25th.

Garde Rail Gallery found a couple of print makers from Tennessee and is showing their work at tonight’s opening titled “Line Dried: Hand-Pulled Print Show”. Most of the work is linoleum or wood cut prints and several pieces use letterpress type.

If you’re into tattoo’s and love art don’t miss the “No Wimps” show at BLVD gallery opening on Thursday evening. This group show will feature art inspired by tattoo culture by acclaimed tattoo artists Shawn Barber, Jeff Gogue, Seattle’s own Matt Arriola and many more.
