Gelaskins are removable stickers for your iPhone. With amazing art from Seattle’s Blaine Fontana and Brian Despain, you can now have a super custom looking graphics without damaging the phone.

This sounds like a fun project to get involved in. The Chemical Brothers are looking to bring together filmmakers and artists through Google Earth technology. You can participate by making a short film clip or photograph that revolves around the theme of Midnight Madness. Deadline for submissions is August 25th.

Artist Melanie Coles and her friends have painted a giant Waldo on top of an undisclosed building in the Vancouver, BC area just waiting to be photographed by Google’s satellite. From the street level view on Google Maps this would look like a page out of a Where’s Waldo book. Read more about the project here.

I just got back from 4 sunny days on Orcas Island. There are lots of artists on that island but one of my favorites is the kinetic wind sculptures of Anthony Howe. He uses stainless steel, glass fiber, wood and mirrors to create these moving sculptures. Visit his scupture park next time you’re on Orcas.

Keep a look out for Beautiful Angle’s posters on the streets of Tacoma each month. Their use of letterpress type and layered imagery is outstanding.

After you’ve soaked in the Fremont Parade on Saturday be sure you view the Art Car Blowout on 35th N & Evanston in the Burke Building parking lot. Cars from all over America and Canada will be there for this 10th annual event.

With hundred’s of posters, magazine illustrations, and apparel projects under his belt, Sasha Barr is in huge demand right now. His artwork looks like it was made with a drippy calligraphy pen on a multi colored woodprint. Nice style.
