This Thursday July 2nd  Flatcolor Gallery welcomes seven local and national artists to their first group exhibition. Northwest artists Timothy Karpinski, Sohaila Adela & CHIP7 are three of the artists displaying work at the show.

I saw this mural while biking in the busway near South Holgate street in the SODO. I’m not sure how long it’s been up in this location, but the raised “You Are Here” lettering looks real good!

This year Artopia and the Georgetown Music Fest merged to become a one day huge music/art festival on June 27th. You’ll see lots of power tool racing, innovative art and bands galore.

Also the new all ages venue, The Slab, will be opening during Artopia with sets by The Lonely Forest and New Faces. The Slab grand opening poster I did can be seen here.

If you’re into bicycling like me go see the movie Veer, which follows 5 people who’s lives are tied to Portland’s bike culture over the course of a year. Next thursday is your chance to catch it at the Columbia City Cinema for one night only.

This looks interesting: an artistic intervention at the Moore in Seattle. This “Inside Out” show includes 50 performance, visual, and musical artists performing for free throughout the venue.

Invisible Creature did the dancing critter poster for the KEXP Kids Dance Party happening on Father’s Day June 21st. My 8 year old daughter wants to show me her new moves so we’ll be kicking up our heels there.
