Where The Wild Things Are

March 28th, 2009 by Evan

Spike Jonze, the director for “Being John Malchovich”, has taken on producing a movie version of the children’s book “Where The Wild Things Are“. This preview looks pretty interesting, although I don’t remember so many explosions being in the book.

Golden Key Comics

March 27th, 2009 by Evan

A co-worker brought in a couple old issues of Magnus Robot Fighter 4000 A.D. today. One was from 1965 (12¢ price) the other was from 1975. This series was one of the few successful science fiction based comics of the ’60s. The illustrations are clearly that era’s vision of the future (fantastic) plus I like the mix of 3 different typefaces making up the title’s masthead.

Adam Isaac Jackson is an amazing up and coming illustrator from Tacoma, Washington. His black line drawings are so solid, I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. Somebody get him a gallery show in Seattle!
