All the artwork that was in the Scion art show at BLVD gallery last fall is being auctioned off June 1st. Get your hands on that amazing Blaine Fontana bird house sculpture before someone else does. Speaking of Blaine, there’s a good interview with him up over at Format Mag.

30 Out Project

May 29th, 2008 by Evan

Here’s a great concept for an art show: Mail 30 random photos to 30 artists, have them add art to the photos and mail it back. You can see the completed pieces at the Wayward Cafe in Seattle starting June 1st.

Rat City Rollergirls VS Starbux

May 28th, 2008 by Evan

mightypop news - rat city rollergirls logo looks like starbucks brand seattle design

Do these logos look too much like each other? Starbucks thinks so, and has asked Rat City Rollergirls to change up their logo design. Come on Starbucks, it’s not like your logo is unique in the first place. Concentric circles and 2 stars has been used by many companies before you got your hands on it. I did a quick search and found 2 logos that were designed before Starbucks did theirs. The 1938 Olden Minerals logo and the 1920 logo for Taylor Bros Spark Plugs. Leave the Rollergirls logo alone, it’s not causing any brand confusion.
