Brightest Young Things has a good interview with former Sup Pop art director and current partner in Patent Pending Industries, Jesse LedDoux. His work can be seen all over the northwest in the form of posters and CD designs. The Grammy nominated Shins CD packaging is a good example of his work. Also, his Dr. Ledoux Critter Splitter Series of toy figures in on sale at Kidrobot for $1 each. That’s too cheap to pass up!

The amazing Geoff McFetridge’s poster installation is officially opening March 29th at the Seattle Olympic Sculpture Park’s PACCAR Pavilion. It’s a great mix of big ideas whittled down to their core elements - no over designing here. All of the “posters” are actually paintings on molded birch veneers (aka plywood). Geoff is also a part of the upcoming “Beautiful Losers” movie about the D.I.Y. art scene.

Mightypop loves when designs from the past are mixed with the present. Earth, Wind & Rider’s garments fit that description to a T. Their new classic “Seattle” Merino wool jersey was made for the northwest bike polo scene. The vintage racing style looks like it’s straight out of a photo from the Tour de France 50 years ago.
