King Cobra presents Luckluster, a cool new monthly art event with live painting, live music and a skate demo. The artists include: PGEE, EGO, Brennan Coyle & Parskid. DJ Sean Cee will be spinning so dig in the couch for $3 in change and head on down at 8pm.

SATURDAY, July 5th is the unveiling of Blaine Fontana’s VANS mural project at Sno•Con. His 20′ x 4′ mural explores the sensations of living for a year back in the northwest. Blaine will be there with stacks of giclee prints of the mural for you to take home.

Some nice experimental posters from Portland’s Matthew Bowers. He also publishes the art book series Downy Birt Art Kingdom, which features 21 emerging and established west coast artists.

Keep a look out for Beautiful Angle’s posters on the streets of Tacoma each month. Their use of letterpress type and layered imagery is outstanding.

Maybe it’s the Portland weather that helped inspire Kendra to paint these ghostly characters seen through pastel dripping washes. You can see more at her site and at the “Oceanic: nautical adventures and underwater realms” show at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle on July 11th.

The Bend-It art festival is going on all this weekend. Tonight the festival is featuring a free FASHION & DRAG SHOW happening at the Vera Project. Thanks for the tip, Molly!

Georgetown’s Artopia is probably the only event were you can listen to Gypsy music, check out Skateboarding art and see power tool races all in the same day. The event starts on Saturday June 28th, from Noon to 10pm. This Wednesday’s Seattle Weekly will feature a pull out Artopia event schedule.
